Early Wednesday morning at 5:20 a.m., police discovered a drug lab in a building on Vondellaan in Haren, just 200 meters from the local police station. Two suspects were arrested, and authorities have launched an investigation.

Ongoing Investigation

The police have not yet revealed how they discovered the drug lab or whether tips from the neighbourhood played a role. A neighbourhood investigation is now underway to gather more information.

Specialised officers from the National Dismantling Facility (LFO) arrived at the scene with multiple vehicles to assess potential chemical dangers and safely dismantle the drug lab. The LFO is responsible for handling hazardous substances and ensuring public safety in situations involving drug labs and other dangerous materials.

Location Details

The drug lab was found inside a residential building managed by European Residential Management, an Amsterdam-based rental company. The building is located on one of Haren’s busiest streets, yet it blends into the surroundings, making it less noticeable.

Authorities have not yet released further details about the suspects. Updates will follow as more information becomes available.
